WebI think that volume pots make a bigger difference. Gibson currently uses 2 300k pots in P-90 guitars (except for Historic/VOS guitars which get the 500k Volume and 250k Tone) and they sounds like crap...no cut, no clarity...just dark and wooley all the time.
