Optical properties of terrestrial clouds
WebThe aim of this review is to consider optical characteristics of terrestrial clouds. Both single and multiple light-scattering properties of water clouds are studied. The numerous results discussed can be used for solutions to both inverse and direct problems of cloud optics. WebThe atmospheres of the giant planets are thick with clouds and haze, so thick that we can't see the surfaces of these worlds. The clouds on all four giant planets are organized in systems of dark belts and bright zones that run parallel to their equators. These can best be seen on Jupiter and Saturn.
